About Volunteers

Picture
ROY volunteer mentors are age 16 and older and make a six month commitment to spend time with a child 3-4 visits a month. Volunteers are encouraged to spend quality time instead of money with their friend. The volunteer mentor strives to provide a caring and positive relationship with their assigned mentee through listening, talking, and sharing meaningful activities. Volunteers undergo a thorough screening and training process before they are paired with a child.

Special Service Volunteers

Reach Our Youth also has the option of Special Service Volunteers! If mentoring isn't your thing, but you still want to get involved, there are many other things you can do to help the program. This includes: folding newsletters, helping out at ROY events and minor office work. If you'd like to volunteer this way, call the office at 419-663-2525!
